Troy started his academic career at SUNY Oneonta with a BS in Biology and a minor in Computer Science. He went on to complete his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Stony Brook. While there, he was inducted into Alpha Eta, the National Honor Society for Allied Health Professions. Before becoming a physical therapist, he was an ACE certified personal trainer and coached the Women’s Ultimate Frisbee team at Stony Brook.
Prior to joining the team at Core in 2019, Troy worked on Long Island at an outpatient facility. The full gym there allowed him to round out his skills with therapeutic exercise before transitioning to a more hands-on approach at Core. He has taken numerous continuing education courses with an emphasis on manual therapy.
When not working, you’ll find him doing anything active. From strength training to hiking to golfing, he is always on the move.
John is happiest when treating patients but he also manages the practice and teaches post-professional classes to physical therapists and massage therapists at Body Connections. He also mentors new therapists who have an interest in practicing manual therapy.
John has treated professional athletes, members of the special forces, and collegiate athletes. However, he is truly passionate about solving health problems that don’t fit into the traditional healthcare system. By asking questions not asked in the traditional system, John can help you find the answers you need.
