Kayla Gawrys PT, DPT
Kayla enjoyed playing volleyball from an early age which created an interest in health optimization and body mechanics. That passion for health and movement led to the field of physical therapy. Kayla was born and raised in northwest Ohio then attended The University of Findlay where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences with a minor in Health Communication. Kayla stayed at The University of Findlay for graduate school for her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. In PT school, Kayla took an elective course in manual therapy techniques and knew immediately that she wanted to focus on manual physical therapy.
After graduating from The University of Findlay in 2014, Kayla started working at Core Physical Therapy. Kayla spent many hours with hands on learning from therapists at Core as well as completing manual therapy courses from the Chikly Health Institute in their lymphatic and brain curriculum. Core Physical Therapy has been a great fit for continual learning and application of hands on skills to help each patient with a total body approach. Kayla enjoys helping people throughout their lifespan from newborn babies to adult.

Lauren spent most of her young life participating in both ballet and modern dance, which is where she discovered her passion for how the body moves and functions. That passion led her to the field of physical therapy for various injuries throughout the years and encouraged her to pursue a career in the field.
Lauren attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences. Lauren then went on to pursue her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at New York University. While attending NYU, Lauren also studied to receive her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification to expand upon her knowledge of sport specific training and exercise prescription.
After graduating from NYU in 2019, Lauren spent the first 2 years of her career working at an Orthopedic and Sports clinic in Manhattan where she worked with a variety of different patient populations and injuries.
Lauren took the knowledge she gained in NYC and decided to return to her hometown of Clifton Park, NY. During her job search, Lauren knew that she wanted to find a workplace that allowed her to maintain her autonomy as a Physical Therapist in addition to allowing her opportunities to expand upon her previous skills and knowledge, which is what brought her to Core. Since working at Core, Lauren has expanded her manual therapy skills through various continuing education opportunities.
